i thought the lancer comes with a factory alarm... no?

 

+1 my lancer alarm is so sensitive, washing my car sometimes make it go off alittle with the hose

 

Maybe yalls dealers installed them becuase I didnt have one either.

you got an aftermarket one???...cuz i believe that alarm tht came with the lancer arent sensitive enough for that kind of vandalism...

 

hmm i thought a passive alarm which is standard at least geico and allstate insurance says...meant that it locks after like 5 mins being idol

and its an alarm! correct?

 

I know if I unlock my car and don't open any doors or go near it, it automatically re-locks itself but that's the alarm that came with my FAST-key shtuff.

 

no fast key here.. its straight base and i got that feature

 

Well the alarm only goes off if a door opens when it is locked. There are no built in shock sensors, at least on my car.

 

really? how does it go off if a door opens if it auto locks after a little bit and then arms?

 

Either way, as long as the alarm is armed and a door opens it goes off. You can try it by leaving your window open when you arm your alarm. Then just open your door through the inside without disarming your alarm and it will go off. Or in my case since I added a two way pager I can arm both alarms and then only disarm the aftermarket one which will unlock the doors. When I open the doors my stock alarm will go off.

 

man that sucks reminds me when i got the side of my car keyed, they wrote in something, and then all my tires where deflated by putting in rocks in the tire caps..at least you know who it was though and good luck with the repairs
