Sound Dampening product question

    Ebay is listing Dynamat, Fatmat, and B-Quiet. Given dynamat is more expensive, but what's the difference between the products?

    Ease of application to how well it will stick to your panels in the heat. If it gets real hot watch out for some to actual peel off and then fall on your amp... sucks... lol I know... Some people I have heard just go to there local Home Depot and pick up something for roofs and use that.

    thats called flash tape. its in the insulation section. its kinda thin and doesnt stick real well some times. I just deadened all my doors and trunk lid with 25 square feet of ed vs1. Its good stuff.

    just wondering cuz i really don't know... whats the point of dampening? to get rid of the rattling noises?

    ^to keep the outside noise out and the inside noise in the car...and yes, it helps reduce rattle
