Normal sound?

    I'm new to Lancers, I have a 2010 Lancer DE.
    When I put the key in the on position it makes this sound. is that normal for a Lancer to make that sound?

    No not at all. Take it to the dealer. Thats doesnt sound good at all.

    I did take it to dealer... they said it was normal. they even showed me on a different Lancer at the shop. :/

    same sound on a 2011...
    The phone made it sound a little bit louder then it sounds in person.

    Yea it's normal. I had it on mine and when I took mine to the dealer they said the same thing. It's like a small click before it turns over right?

    too bad i didnt see this sooner......yes its normal. My 04 ralliart does the same thing...only longer.

    It's already been said, but yep...it's totally normal. My 2011 Ralliart does this.

    It sounds like the battery's dead or something. I've heard this before on a car, but can't remember what was wrong. Weird that it's normal though.

    Car working... just does that if the key is in the on position and you don't try to start it.

    Hunk yours does it to. Lol. I realized mine does it too. I thought it was the starter doing its thing.
