I'm pretty sure I just fried my hard drive for my nav unit. I was trying to unlock the hard drive and i'm pretty sure the adaptor I have is faulty. Anyway, is there any possible way to replace the hard drive? Can I put a factory build on a different hard drive?

take it back to the dealership and let them know what happened...thats what the warranty is for

I doubt the warranty would cover that make sure you have a good story. Don't tell them the truth!

take a look at the HD... if you can find something similar you can use it.. then use your DVD drive on the unit to load in your new software ;)

Well I just took it to the dealership and they replaced it. Phew. Wasn't looking forward to paying for that.
