I want to lower my 08 lancer gts which already has a sport suspention, I need to know if the stock sport suspention will be able to handle the lowering springs or will I need all new suspention parts. Anybody try this already? lemme kno how it went.

On a budget, springs will do just fine. The OEM struts/shocks will be fine as long as you don't go past a 2" drop. Anything more than that, and I would suggest coilovers.

How many miles are on your stock suspension? How low are you trying to go? Whats your budget? I personally would put new struts/shocks. your already taking them out to install your springs and the new ones are relatively cheap. Like the post above me said if your on a budget the stock shocks/struts will be ok. You will greatly reduce the stock struts/shocks lifetime. The suspension is one element of the car that I wouldn't cheap out on.
