just wondering what size cc fuel injectors do the 08 lancers come with? are they high impedance or low?
ehh with all these people wanting to go turbo youd think a few of them would wanna figure out what size injectors to run
MXlou: most won't get them yet. i'm still in college and still have a BS job...but oh i will get one...or just get a RA or Evo...lol with some of the work i'm doing on my car and will continue to do i doubt i'll get rid of it
a lot do not know whats involved with boosting, they think its a simple bolt on like an intake or rims.
thats true, not all of us, including me, dont have a clue about boosting...I can only do the intake and the muffler...
the closest i've come to major work is a full exhaust system and almost final drive on my truck. but i know that for a forced induction system, thats lots o cash that i dont have. and knowledge that i havent aquired.
it is more than just putting on the turbo and your done...the tuning aspect of it plays a really big part of it. plus the stock internals are very limited and boosting a na engine, there will be many problems. The $5k is just the beginning of the money being spent for the turbo. I am sure more parts will be needed. Like a fmic and the piping, bov and such.
So, the 5k kit wouldn't even come with a fmic? BOV is more of a personal option if someone opts to get one heh And yeah tuning and getting the kit to run as smooth as one that would come stock on an evo or the upcoming RA, would cost a ridiculous amount of money, time and patience that I doubt most of the people here would care to have to deal with.
bov, helps with the pressure built up and needs to be released. fmic, probably not a good one. I could be wrong, until the kit comes out. Hopefully for the price they will sell everythink needed. I know from other companies that sell turbo kits, sell the turbo, oil lines, waste gate, manifold, fmic, downpipe and fmic for 3500. Also the down time, which most have the 08 as their daily driver.
