On the first or Second saturday of November, details are still being worked out...

Hey guys, this morn, i got an Email from Hub Mitsubishi. No not an Advertisment, lol. This particular email came from the sales manager there and it said i should call him as soon as i could. so first chance i got at lunch today i gave him a call. he told me his general manager and himself would like me to come in and meet with them to talk about something. i told him i could come in today after i got off work. Then i asked what they wanted to talk to me about...

"We want to do something with the Lancer Owners."

So i get there, we talk, i get excited, but i wanna keep it professional, so i didn't let it show too much, haha.
and here's what i came away with:

They want to put on a Fundraiser/Car show benefitting the houston food bank. there will be food, drink, prizes, raffles, etc. there will be 3, maybe 4 classes (so far)
Antique Cars (of all makes and models)
Evo's
Lancer's
Galant's (this one is i guess kinda up to clubtgc, lol)

i know... there is a model of mitsubishi not listed. i dont know why, but it didn't come up. :whistle:

also notice, the evo's will be in a seperate class, so us N/A guys dont have to overcome the "cool factor" of having a 300+HP turbo car

They will be advertising the event on radio and/or TV! They will also be shooting a video (of which we will get a copy to post here for download) to submit to the Mitsu Home Office, so that hopefully corperate will see what a great event this is and want to get involved also :mrgreen:

This being an event that benefits the food bank, will mean that there will need to be donations made. most likely it will take the form of canned goods. they may charge a "registration" fee of a few dollars but all monies will goto the food bank as well.
this will be a good first oppurtunity for HALO to contribute to the community!!

that's pretty much all the details i have for now, they are going to keep in touch with me, and i will do the same. if you guys have any suggestions please let me know and i will forward them to Hub.

By the way, the sales manager has been following the site, so Ed, Hello, if your out there!

Also, one last thing. Spread the word about this as much as possible. Hit up houston imports, evom, 9g, project lancer, and any other mitsu sites you know of. i've got lancer tuners covered. don't assume some one else will make the post! lets make this thing huge!!!
