Evo x exhaust compatibility with Base model?

Just a quick question, a lot of the exhausts I'm seeing available are telling me they are only for the evo and cannot fit the base models. It would only be due to the rear bumper cutout right? I don't see why else I couldn't just by the Borlas for the Ralliart/Evo and toss them on.
