CVT Questions.

    Hi I'm new around here and to Lancers. I just got a 2010 Lancer GTS.(Loving it) It has paddle shifters. Does that mean it is a CVT?

    If so, why are people so down on CVT?

    How would I know for sure if it has the CVT or not?

    I'm pretty sure the paddle shifters indicates a CVT transmission. Usually people rag on it so much because it's not as responsive as a 5 speed. At least, that's my understanding of it. Also, I've read that it can't handle much power. Someone with a CVT chime in. Or Jogen.

    Well I've had a Mustang GT and a Saab Turbo and this baby is really responsive using the shifters.
