about modifying a lancer

    guys ... if my car is modified .. and then take it to the regular oil change and stuff .. will they say something about that ? :)) like the short ram intake ... exhaust ... bla bla :D

    Yep. My dealership did.

    They said "I love what you did to the engine! That intake looks pretty sweet".

    ;)

    i think we need to get a sticky going naming all parts that void the warranty. and maybe level of detectability.

    fuckerz =) ... but they won`t like .. not change the oil or inspect the car ... because of them right ? :))

    if you do a turbo, ecu flash, or bore out anything then they will drop your warrenty, ive heard that doing your own oil changes is a no no also but cant say thats 100% tru.
    my dealership saw my exahust redone with stock parts didnt say anything, theyve seen all what ive doen to my car bc they remember me an have only complimented. intake, exhaust, an all that good stuff you will be ok.

    that's good cuz I have the Sri and greddy exhaust just wanted to be sure. And what are the dimensions of a tire in a stock es sport 2009?

    well the rrm sri was like 220 dollars ... and greddy was 350 dollars .. and with the taxes and shipping it was like 600

    nothing voids ure warranty, i just found out if u wire in the turbo correctly it wont void your warranty, i asked one of my instructors about this

    It will if it caused the defect you want warranty work done on.

    i talked to the dealership, man just make everything back the way it was before going to them if u`re car broked or smth .. cuz they will use any excuse not to fix it make it the same :))

    what about my make shift SRI w/ tape on the sensor... lol! i don't through an error... and i have had it for a little over a month... u think that might void it?

    i guess .. it`s still a modif form the original setting of the engine .. they will tell u anything just to get u out of the shop ... and not repair it :| i will modify mine though .. just because nobody complained about the car having problems or anything like that .. so .. what the hell i`ll take the risk :)) and u can always put everything back and sue them =))

    Well it always depends on the stealership... Some dealers are really anal with MODs and others really don't seem to care that much.

    i already said what could possibly void your warrenty. but dont break anythin u cant put back on. trust me ive heard bad stories about that lol
