when i installed my headers i had to go in fromt he top so it looked like i had to remove the strut bar.. and as for the heat shields, i took them...

the front one i believe is a screw on.. u just gotta take out that chrome part in the front of the car but the rear one is gonna be a stick on......
i wouldnt try guitar wire since it could scratch ur car.. whatever hapened to good old fishing line... more durable than guitar wire too
