Try spraying the shine on a wet wheel and rims(say after you wash the car). Then use an aplicator pad (get them at Autozone) and wipe the spray...
I have to agree with everyone else, it is very easy to drive. I am teaching my wife to drive stick, and she has picked it up very easily.
