i can confirm that it happened to me, my last 08 had that exact problem with the tint scratching, so i would just fork up the extra cash and get it.
in the 1st 1000 miles i had problems starting up my car twice, but i just gave it some gas and it started right up. and havnt had any problems...
got quoted for $280 for tint all around with new felt and a life time warrenty. but im still shopping around.

i personally had my window tinting scratched by the stock felt, so i would get the anti scratch kit, or just get better felt which is what i did....
dang i started reading and got really excited, all for nothing :( oh well.
u know u could always just get a bluetooth headset and that almost as good as the handfree system.
