Sometimes my car shudders when idling with the air conditioning on. Even when it is on level 1. Does this mean I'm low on refrigerant or the PAG is low?
eeehhhhh......could mean something, could be nothing. Honda and Infinity cars always shudder when the compressor is running....something with the balance of the compressor clutch. Mine does idle a bit rougher when the AC is on....but not too bad.
I have the same issue. It's just the way the a/c works on most cars really. And your acceleration is studdered I would assume. You may just need a small tune-up. There is a way to fix that using ECUflash but I don't know how. I saw it written somewhere on evom.net.
It does not shudder on acceleration or while at a constant speed. It only does this when I am at a stop light or parked in the driveway. It may need a small tune-up, but what exactly would that consist of?
Basic tune up would be oil, filter, plugs, and replace the drop in or clean the air filter. nothing hard at all....
the ac uses power from the engine that it produces. so when the ac is on there is less power from the engine bcuz the compressor wheel from the ac is being used...if the ac is off there is more power in the engine bcuz the compressor wheel is not being used...make sense? i think i confused myself more... if you dont understand, i am sure you can look it up on the corner of search and google. after all you are on the world wide web...
Bras_33. No, I understand that. But every car I've driven {94 Chrysler LHS, 89 Ford F-250, 09 Civic Si, 03 A4 Quattro 1.8T, 97 Ford Escort] did not shake at random intervals when the AC is on. That's why I'm wondering if there is a part that is failing prematurely.
when you first turn it on it may change idle just a little if it shakes to much you may need to check your motor mounts
