Tires 225/45/18 Rims 18x8 +40 as far as i know the rims should fit fine, however will lowering the car (with above rims on) make any difference? ie. more susceptible to rubbing?
the tires will fit no problems...i have 235/40/18 and no problems on curves...the rims im not sure about...i still stock rims...
Well it should be fine because im running on my lancer with 20's they are 225/35/20 and the only rub i get is if i hit a bump then the back tires go for a rebound and hit the fenders but no damages at all the car but the tires you can tell if they rubbed a bit but 18's should be just fine! Also why are you going thicker any way? stock gts 215 isnt?
well those are the tires they gave with my rim package.. im going to go ahead and order springs now (RRM) cause it looks like everything's gravy.
Your stock bolt pattern is 5-114 and I'm ordering 18x7.5 5-114 +40 so I don't think +45 should make a difference. Especially if 4b12lancergts is running 20's
Yea make sure your bolt pattern is the same. Now thickest Wall on the tires that we can get is 45 so dont go any higher than that! Even 20's can fit with 45's but with alot more cases of rubbing. I would stick with 15-40 Wall profiles!
man its gunna be a close call, hope to god there's no rubbing. if there is ill complain to get 35 series tires or something
Hopefully youll ben fine since they are 18's just now youll have more rubber to burn  which isnt a bad thing
