I was looking for rear bumper for my lancer GTS Wat you guys think of this one....is it worth of buying? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... &viewitem= is there anyone purchase this body kits?
i dont know but this is from them and it looks like garbage at least in this pic came fromhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008...m14&_trkparms=72:543|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318 but the piuc of the rear looks ok
Personally when it comes to body kits, I wouldn't buy them from ebay. Ever. Ever. Bodykits.com, autocityimports.com those are two good sites that have some kits. Buy from a site, not an auction host, cuz that can lead to two things, cheap merchandise (not all the time, but for specific things, it is usually cheap garbage)----and issues if you get ripped off and need help with whatever you buy.
Hey, I have actually ordered several body kit for some of my friends from both sites and ebay, and to tell you the truth the body kits I got from sites cost a lot more and where the exact same thing. The fiberglass had the same layers and they both needed the same amount of work to install. Plus some of those websites sell stuff on ebay themselves at a cheaper price becuase of overstock or becuase its been sitting there so long. I suggest you get other materials besides fiberglass becuase it cracks so easily. Something like Polyurethane now thats some good stuff.
I would never buy from Bodykits.com They sell at such a high price, and they say that they lower the price? ja right lol. Definitely buy from ACI. You even get a discount by using the lancertuners coupon. And as for buying polyurethane, i wouldnt waste THAT much money on my car. IF you buy any product from Extreme Dimensions, they are all duraflex, a stronger type of fiberglass that is super strong (i know from lots of experience). And yea, FG breaks pretty easy, but its just as easily repairable. Oh and BTW... Ironically, that body kit is the same exact one on ACI, Bodykits.com, and all other body kit places. I dont really know who makes it, but one of our members, Nemo, who is also the car on ACI, bought it from them. http://autocityimports.com/2008-mit...body-classretailretail-s99500sdiv-p-8004.html
I like Duraflex too, but I havent experienced that much of a difference in price. For a lip for a eclipse Duraflex was actually more expensive than Polyurethane. And that lip has taking a beating. Fiberglass is really easy to fix but if you car is painted already you dont want to have the hassle of fixing it and getting it repainted, thats why if the car is daily driven buy duraflex or polyurethane so you dont have to worry about it cracking becuase a you hit a dip or becuase somebody leaned against it too hard. I never bought from ACI but I plan on giving them a try the next time I need something.
