Ok, my girl's amp blew out so we replaced it. After installing the new amp I hooked up the wires and everything and its still not working. No fuses are blown, the ground and REM wires are hooked up. The RCA's are correct as well as the subs. I hooked her subs up to my amp and it works. when i hooked my sub to her amp i got nothing. the power light is on as well. her subs are connected using parallel connections.

the only thing i can think of now is to unhook my amp and put it into her car but that's a pain in the ass. any ideas would be helpful. I have my comp outside with me so i cn respond quickly

Sounds likr they are not recieving the signals through the RCAs. If you have a spare set lying around, take the radio out and hook them up. Don't run them under the carpet or anything. Just run them over the seats to the amp. You are just seeing if the RCAs or the output signal on the radio is fried.

lol...i was hoping you were on. i was thinking that the sig was the prob too. I checked the ground too and that was fine. I guess i have to check the remote wire and RCA next. this is a pain man. she has a tC. the whole console comes out but that's next I guess. i got the amp install kit from wal mart. it hasn't been running for more than like 2 days. she said the next day it stopped working.

oh yeah...and i don't have another set of RCA's here

Yeah, check both the remote wire and RCAs. You can check the remote wire with a test lite at the amp. If your getting power, remote, ground, and it works in your car, then its the signal. It could be the RCAs which is rare, or the actuall headunit output RCAs could be fried. Check the fuse on the back of the headunit as well.
