Hi, I was wondering whether it is worth getting an earthing kit for the new Lancer? Mitsubishi offers one as an official dealer fitted accessory. I tried reading up about it and you get a lot of conflicting answers as to whether it is worth it or not. I am getting a VRX/GTS with the Rockford system and was thinking maybe it might need the kit. I think the fact Mitsubishi is selling them for the new Lancer may mean that it will make a difference, but I just want to be sure. Now if only they would sell other minor performance mods as accessories that would be great because it won't affect your warranty.
i believe earthing kit = grounding kit i have an apexi grounding system in my car and iv noticed a slight difference, not to great of one though
basically it stabilizes electricity on the car and grounds it better the apexi website explains it better then i do
In Canada Mitsu calls it the hyper grounding kit its basically i think 5 to 7 thick wires i cant remember the grade or count. But by placeing them on various places in the engine it supposed to increase HP milage and tourqe by providing a more stable power transfer. I was looking up on it too but i was just trying to get my bloody radio from phasing out at certain parts through the city. But they do come in a varity of colors blue red and gold.
Wow, looks like Im not the only one who is clueless about it. Here is the blurb from the Mitsubishi website: And azn_ghetto, what car did you use your grounding kit on?
boo, lol Thanks anyways. I think our car def needs a grounding kit. My radio gets interference when i lower my window or if i give to much gas when i have the radio at full blast. I have a fully loaded gts btw
