08 Lancer recall

    A little heads up. I received a recall notice from Mitsubishi stating

    "Recently introduced a production change for the 2008 model Lancers that enhances side impact protection by ensuring that the rear door latch remains latched in certain crashes. This additional protection can be added to your vehicle by installing a different rear door quarter window sash."

    Just to let you guys know.

    yeah have you gotten uir replacement thing yet i got mine on monday and i havnt had a chance to take it in, im gonna try to next week.

    would they be a problem to people with tinted windows? all my windows are tinted so if they replace the back quarter would they f*ck up my windows also with new once? Or what do they do?

    has nothing to do with the windows ... you'll be fine. took them about an hr to fix mine

    got mine done this weekend... and i didnt get a letter, just a phone call from my dealership.

    ^^nothing is purchased. it should be a free repair by the dealership.

    i got mine at Longwood Mitsubishi...assholes they gave me the best deal though just the service is terrible there
