Hello everyone i am hoping u guys can help me. i recently got into an accident with my 2008 lancer. i have apex silver. i took it 2 the autobody shop n its been there 4 almost three weeks now cuz they cant get a color match for my car. does or has n e one had this problem cuz im seriously stressed out n i was just wondering if the guy i took it 2 is an idiot or if this is a tru problem...thanks
Well heres the thing. From what ive been reading, lots of differnt parts of the country have differnet mixs for each paitn job. For instance, mine wasnt Apex silver, yet it is silver. Iuno what to tell ya man, i have silver as well and for my body kit i got a pretty dead on match.
there is a paint code on the inner door frame for the front doors, i forgot which side if its driver or passenger side. It is there tho.
I have to disagree a bit Z. The guy doin my kit made a pretty sick color batch that is like 95% close to factory. You really cant tell the difference. Take your car to a higher end shop (if its not already) i took it to a place that basically looks like a factory from how many different cars it takes. Did your insurance reccomend this place?
