Is the RA going to be that much faster than the GTS ? I say that to say this RRM came out with a turbo which should add more power to the GTS havent seen the dyno yet, but i'm also pretty sure that somebody else is making a turbo some were else. Not including all the other aftermarket parts that will come out eventually. As far as the All-wheel-drive it makes the RA more heavier, uses more gas and is a Pain In da A** to fix. So for those of you wanting to trade in da GTS be patient and you can make the GTS, faster than the RA.Maybe i'm looking at this differnt, so somebody help me look at it a differnt way cause i'm not trying to get the three diamond weenie for the trade in.
He is refering to a turbocharged lancer not a bonestock one Chris :lol: ... from the numbers posted by RRM, i'd put my money on the GTS from a roll but the RA has alot more potential. The RA doesn't have our cheap internals. Meaning instead of the 6-7 psi we can do on our 4b11 motors...expect RA owners to pump up the psi on their built motors.
the RA has the EXACT same engine at the X.. we have the same engine as the RA and the X too.. BUT we dont have forged internals.. our cars (basic lancers) werent made to be boosted.. the RA all you gotta do it change out the turbo to a bigger one and then you casn get real boost happy.. the internals are so much stronger than out car.. granted it is gonna be heavier.. but the SST gear box is no joke as much as ppl love stick.. in cluding me.. that SST have virtually no lag at all.. and that AWD will just tear shit up left and right..
i am sorry, if i had a choice between FF and AWD, i am all AWD, i dont care what other comanpies put out for the GTS, it will not have the same potential as the RA in the end. Like it was said all you gotta do is replace the turbo in the RA, but in the GTS you still need to add one. And the RA being heavy because of the AWD, did any every notice the weight on the GTS, not much better....
The RA has the same engine as the X, except it was a single scroll turbo, and different cam profiles. It has the evo 9 AWD system with Mitsubishis ACD tech. It has the same spoiler and rims as the GTS. It will have the same RECARO seats as the X if you so choose that package. As for the GTS vs RA they will have the same HP if you turbo the GTS, but since the RA is AWD and comes stock with a turbo it will still beat the lancer. Plus the TC-SST does not help us very much
I agree with the comments, so do you guys think that it would be woth the negative equity that you will get to trade in your GTS for the Ralliart.

I reaaaaaaaaaally, reaaaally, doubt the GTS could ever get close to the Ralliart. Tell me the Ralliart can get this close to the X and I'll say Yes My Friend!
te lancer and te evo ave two very different motors, tey ave te same name and te fact tat tey are bot an aluminum ead, but beyond tat very little is te same. my damn keys are messed up, wtf? o well. I read about it in some maazine te dealersip as us read for info on te evo. aain sorry tat my keys are oin out, I ope you can make some sense of it.
Ralliart price needs to come down...at the advertised price (if you include the recaro package) the car is about $30k....for that you can spend the additional 2-3 grand and have yourself a Evo X GSR...it's almost like a shot in the foot IMO. Also if you really wanted the Ralliart, should have waited it out unless you don't mind getting raped by the manufacturer.
Edmunds and everybody else is saying 27k starting price but that is ridiculous i'd say... they def. need to make it price compatible with a Mazdaspeed 3 or a WRX or even the GTI.
Um, before they bring down the price on the RA theyre gonna have to bring down the price of the reg lancers... i payed 21 for mine and it wasnt fully loaded. RA compared to the GTS is a completly different car IMO. Price gap is ok, just too high in general
not only is the turbo single scroll. the intercooler and intercoller piping is smaller that the x. the cams are the same. the ecu has a differant tune. if i could i would buy the RA loaded not the x. cause the x loaded is over 40,000. and i cant live without the navi. its one of the things i like best about my GTS.
