Quick Question. since we get 6 months of sirius for free..when does that six months start? from the time we get the car or the time we activate the radio? also, when the six months is up does it automatically just stop or do we have to call and cancel the radio?
the 6 months start on the day you purchase the car. After the 6 months are up, sirius calls you and asks you if you want to renew for a special low price of X amount (mine was $30) a quarter. They have all your info already, so its a yes or no answer to the rep. I said no 3 days ago when they called cause I got my ipod cable thingy.
thats different than mine because i did the automated activation with sirius over the phone, where u have to give them the VIN and SID i think..., and that when my 6 month's free was added to my account, unless the dealer "activated it for you". :?: Cause i could not listen to it on the way home, because i couldn't find the SID in the navi, until i opened the manual. hahahahha
yeah i had to activate mine as well with the VIN # and i paid an extra $66 bux for the rest of the year.
