Is stat racing pretty decent? Ive never heard anyone with a Lancer having that kit.

MEH, these are just kits I found on the internet while thinking of either building my turbo set up or buying a kit. RRM's is complete and has a reputable backing. Look as mouses turbo thread progress report. To find it easy go to the ride of the month voting area. And after you check it out look at everyone else's rides and vote too. The only other one I have ever heard of being used it the one from turbo-kits.com. I don't like the couplers from stat racing but everything else looks fine. Oh the cheap ones without piping are ones you dont want not unless you are buy and set of pipes and intercooler yourself to keep your setup a bit different.

Yep....The guys at English Racing had to do a little modding to the fuel rail since they are a tad longer than say the 440cc wrx's that a lot of peeps use, but they made it work.

Is that the 4g94 stock motor?

How much money have you spent for all that?

Yep..Stock 4g94. I thought at first, pushing 11psi was going beyond what the stock internals could handle, but having 2 friends here in Washington that are both pushing 15 on stock internals, I know its all about the tune. And their going on 2 years running that way and are still going strong.

Damn that's alot for 40+whp over stock. To bad our little motors dont make better numbers when boosted...

That fact alone keeps me away from performance so I stick with aesthetics

^ This x1000. Basically the main reason I bought my 240. I was tired of just adding stickers. Lol.

He just needs a better tune. He is most likely at 4 psi.

Nevermind. Reading his original post says its 11. That is not right. You need a better tune if you are only pushing 165. Your engine should be ready to blow up with that build. I wanna place blame on the improper injectors.

All I know is I'll NEVER boost my lancer bc it's not worth 3500 to run 15sec at the strip

Injectors and tune are fine...main problem is its an Automatic. Of course our Lancers are rated at 120hp stock. but that isn't true horsepower at the wheels. On a dyno, Automatics only push around 85 to 90 actual horsepower. not the rated 120. so being mine is now pushing about 170, its actually doubled true HP. If it was a manual, it would probably be closer to 190. Also, its had a few more mods and my tune itself has been fine tuned too, since its original tune and dyno run. Planning on scheduling another dyno run soon, because I'm sure its pushing more WHP now.

Didnt realize it was an auto. Numbers are fine now. And as an auto it ahould be around 95 stock.

IMO forced induction is way over my head so I wouldn't be comfortable have a setup I do not understand. Now when it comes to wheels n suspension I'm in for that. I'd rather have a nice looking car than having a fast car. But I do enjoy seeing our cars set themselves apart from other cars :)

GRIND3R!!!! What kind of bizzaro world is this? Stephen is automatic as well as jakemiester. However jakemiester is going balls to the wall along with 02modlancer. Finding a proper kit, tune, timing, datalogging your stfm and ltfm and adjusting maf scaling (if not SD tuned) and injector scaling. Im here to find someone with a RRM turbo kit and ask if I may borrow software as I need scalings!

440cc wrx injectors are not easy to come by. I thought about theoreticaly (after 7 psi) using DSM talon 450cc injectors with a resistor box, however not sure if I could slightly alter the 440cc scalings even though im technically running through a electrical circuit to have them flow at proper rate. I didntt think you needed a larger fuel rail for evo 8/9 injectors..or even X injectors but I swore the X had a split second timing type harnesss it would run. Ramble on.

Yes his two friends in WA are both running at or above 15psi on stock bottom end. One of which has helped emmensly with my learning path of self tuning. YY U live on EAST COAST!
