I recently screwed up my headlights by taking an 80 grit to them for some dumb reason.. Anyway, I wanted to know if the top screws on the frame of the car are the only screws I need to remove to exchange the whole component? Thank you!!!

I never had to take off my bumper to replace my headlights.....Was like a 30 minute job including wiring cause the harnesses on the Depo projectors suck.

well jus depends on the year i guess. ive taken off my headlights numerous times and the only way to get em off is to take off the front bumper. its not hard at all

The 04-06 lancers have to take the bumper off. 02-03 lancers do not. I got the depot projectors aswell. All i had to do was take out the 3 screws ( two on top one on the side) and unplug the headlights, pull em out, slide the new ones in and plus the new ones in and thats it.

Ah was unaware of that sorry. Yea for the 02-03's it's easy as cake.

Yea its cuz on the 04-06 there is a bolt that you can only get to if the front bumper is off.

you guys were right i did have to take off the front bumper it was pretty fun actually. Sad thing was that there wasnt a bolt holding them in place haha oh well.......Any way a new problem arose and the light bulb harness is so freaky and weird that i literally have hanging light bulbs. Their JDM headlights off of ebay and they look nothing like the stock harness its just a wire and a dust cover...i tried putting them in as best as i could but i ended up having glare and dissalinged lights going everywhere (so i cant drive at night Which means no girlfriend time in the car) Can any one help me out please!!!

Post a link to the headlights you got. I got the Depo Projectors off Ebay and the harness sucked on them...like the wires were loose and not connecting. Every time I hit a bump one of my headlights would go out. I Just cut them and straight wired them.

Take a picture of the wiring of the headlights and everything for us. Also, post a link to where you bought them from. I'd go ahead and put the stock lights back in until you fix the problem.

you shouldve jus took em apart and painted the stock housing black. thats what i did, and came out good plus i only paid like under $30 for the supplies. cant beat that

Did it come with a bulb? If not, and you're trying to use the stock headlight bulb, it probably won't work. Usually when you change a reflector housing to a projector housing the bulb size changes. I would contact them and ask them what the bulb size is. For example, stock bulb size for my 03 is 9007, but if I were to change it to a projector housing it would change to something like and H2 or H3 or something along those lines.
