Hi all well the first mod to my Lancer is done, Foglights!! From Auto City Imports. Front view Next will be the Garage door opener
First steps on the garage door opener, the Pushbutton switch, I used two as that is what I need. I drill and tap for 1/2" - 20, that is the same thread that the switch uses, because the nut does not fit inside. I cut out most of the plastic inside the cover. As you can see the wires are all ready welded to the switches, next will be to open up the remote and weld the wires from the switches and for the positive and negative as my remote uses 12volt battery and I'll hard wire it(no need to replace the battery. This is the switch I used: RadioShack p/n 275-0644 Black p/n 275-0646 red(pic)
nice...uhmm got question for u..where can i buy aux to connect iphone and listen to music on 09 mitsubishi lancer es
Lets continue with the garage door opener, here is a better picture of the 2 switches: The inside of the control: I have a 3 button control Here you can see all the wires already welded, one for each button and one for power, you have to use a continuity checker in order to see which terminals to weld the wires. What I did to know where to solder the two wires was checking with a multimeter for continuity between the terminals of the switches on the remote. In the pic you can see that each of them has 4 terminals, but only 2 will close and open the circuit, the others in my case were giving closed all the time. In red circles are the for terminals for each one And here is the finished product, to the left of the foglights switch. A closer look.
This is what I did today: Auto door lock/unlock how to Hello all, I am here offering you the solution to your need to have your lock automatically locked and unlocked!!! Today I went to the dealer asking for 2 things, disable DRL and auto lock/unlock the doors, I only got one!! Parts needed: DEI 452T Door Lock Pulse/Double Pulse Generator Tape Knowledge of what wires to connect it to!! O men I feel so raped!!! How it is done!! The 452T has the following wires: Red (+) 12V constant power input Black (-) chassis ground Orange (-) activation input Violet (+) activation input Red/White (+) pulse length control (12V) Green (-) 200mA lock output Blue (-) 200mA unlock output Green/White (+) 200mA lock output Blue/White (+) 200mA unlock output The ones we need and are connected to : Red (+) 12V constant power input connected to thick red wire(see pic) Black (-) chassis ground connected to ground Violet (+) activation input connected to yellow(see pic) Green (-) 200mA lock output connected to yellow/red stripe silver spots(see pic) Blue (-) 200mA unlock output connected to grey silver spots(see pic) In the following 2 pics you can see where the RED and VIOLET wires are connected, RED to the thick RED wire and the VIOLET to the not that thick YELLOW wire The pics are looking inside the door for the fuses. In the following 2 pics you can see where the GREEN and BLUE wires are connected, in the brown connector the Yellow/Red is the first from the top on the right and the grey is the second on the same side. Well the first performance modification is ready, I just installed the Takeda SRI today, took me some 30 min to do it, I'll be giving my opinion on it in a week or so. Quality of the parts are first class. Saturday took the Lancer for a highway drive some 150 miles each way, I am impressed it does perform better!! with the AC on you don't feel it, and the sound oooohh a pleasure!! On the way back on Sunday it felt lighter, the best mod yet. And it gave me 1 or 2 extra km/lt.(this I have to confirm once I put fuel again.) I can't take pics, as the car is in the shop, the A$$ in front stepped on a piece of wood and it came hitting us on the bumper, fender headlight and hood . As soon as I get it back I'll post some pics.
Here is the new addition: On the back you can see my other baby! 2003 TB (the trunk is open by the way) Hope you like it!!
